We had a great time talking about how words can sometimes entrap us into certain kinds of behavior that don't serve us well.  Words like "change", "fine", "holidays" and so on can be loaded with hidden meanings that can cause us uncessary stress and frustration.

Get Stronger, Get Firmer, Get Sexier - Strength Train After 40

I always feel healthy, fit and attractive after one of my strength training sessions at home.

I recently started strength training.  I love it! I am not training for anything specific other than I love the way it makes me feel, I love the impact on my body and most importantly I love the way it positively impacts my health.

There are few things you want to make sure you do before you start strength training.
Make sure you get clearance from the Doctor before you start. Make sure you get a good trainer to design a great program for you and to monitor your progress. Make sure you are eating a healthy diet that is lower in calories and fat. Make sure you have FUN!  Once you start your training program get ready for some great results.  I saw some changes in my body after about two weeks!  After three weeks I lost an inch in my waist, and my back muscles started to return to how they used to be when I danced professionally(I stopped dancing professionally a year ago).  Here are some other …

Five Great Healthy Breakfast Ideas For The Busy Over 40 Crowd

Berry Berry Breakfast Bowl Ingredients 1 cup non-fat cottage cheese 1/2 scoop (about 3 Tablespoons) Vanilla Protein Powder 4 strawberries, sliced 1/3 cup blackberries 1 Tablespoon slivered or sliced almonds 2 teaspoons honey Instructions Mix cottage cheese with protein powder until the powder is combined thoroughly. Top with berries, almonds, and honey.
Mix all together. Enjoy!

Egg White Omelet in a Mug
4 egg whites, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons fully cooked ham or turkey bacon (or you can omit meat)
2 tablespoons fresh baby spinach, shredded
1 tablespoon green pepper, diced
1 tablespoon red pepper, diced
1 tablespoon tomato, diced
1 tablespoons reduced-fat cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste, if desired
