Top Three Types of Exercises To Aide Detoxification

I have discovered during this journey to wellness that there are exercises that not only help me to firm and tone, they also help me to detoxify!!  I love the idea of doing exercises that take care of more than half of my goals on my wellness list: getting in shape, dropping a few pounds, releasing stress and detoxifying my body!

Moves To Help Facilitate DeToxing The Body
Exercise is essential when it comes to detoxifying the body.  Exercise helps the body to circulate both blood and lymph. The more blood and lymph circulate the more the liver and kidney can purify and cleanse the blood.  Also when you exercise you increase the amount of oxygen in your blood which helps with elimination.

Here are my top three type of exercises that I enjoy doing.

Yoga is a great exercise for detox.  Not only does it get the blood pumping but it also stimulates organs that are important in the digestive and elimination process.   These moves stimulate the circulatory, digestive and lymphatic system.  …

The One Must Have You Need To Keep Your Metabolism Up, Your Immune System Strong and Your Body Flushed of Toxins- Day 13 on My Journey to Wellness

Lately,  I have been looking at those foods, herbs and spices that are must haves in order for me to have a strong immune system, keep my body flushed of harmful toxins, and help boost my metabolism. I have found there is one ingredient I must have everyday...

Yes, everyone knows that garlic is good for them but do you know why? There are many many medicinal uses for garlic.  Here are just a few.

IMPORTANT - One thing about garlic can kind of stay with you. Bad breath is certainly one of the left over residuals of eating garlic.  BUT I have a solution that works for me so give it a try. To get rid of that "garlicky" smell: wash your hand thoroughly with cold water and then rub your hands on stainless steel surface (seriously it works)try chewing on of these to get rid of garlic breath: parsley, fennel seeds, fresh citrus peel, fresh mint leaves, and caraway seeds (and of course brush your teeth and use mouthwash)eat an applegreen tea, lemonade and water will be he…

Are You Grateful? Here Are 8 Reasons Why Your Should Be!

The essence of gratefulness shows up in our everyday lives.Gratefulness rewards us when we least expect it. So does ungratefulness! The law of reaping and sowing goes both ways. How then do we maintain an attitude of gratitude as it has been coined, when we get hit hard with life’s issues?

Grateful? For What?Yes, I have asked that a few times in the last few weeks myself, then suddenly I am reminded of the many things that have come my way quite unexpectedly. The person who was sent just in time, the money that came when I was 0, or the healing I got for my loved ones.

Grateful? For What? The reasons success is relevant in my life…the definition of what I call success that is. When I feel less than successful whatever that means to me; is when I feel less than grateful! Yeah, direct correlation! Funny isn’t it?Sowing and reaping works together as gratefulness activates the tangibles in my life and yours. It’s all how we perceive it.I have chosen to lose nothing by being grateful. In doing…

5 Things I have Learned To Do To Cope With Anxiety & Worry - Day 7 on My Wellness Journey

Part of my journey to wellness is to make sure I am doing what I need to do to minimize my worry and anxiety. I suffered from anxiety for years. I was so used to feeling anxious and worried all the time that I didn't even know anything was wrong. I thought everyone felt that way!

It was not until I had an "episode" of crying for almost 24 hours ( about 5 years ago) that I decided it was time for me to do  something about it.  Mind you, I still had to be talked into going to a Doctor to have myself checked out, but deep down when I had the crying fit, I knew I needed help.

Long story short, I was diagnosed with an Anxiety Disorder with Mild Depression. They put me on some medication that made me gain 15 pounds and also increased my anxiety.  I started doing my own research and basically learned how to manage my anxiety.

Almost six years later, I am mostly anxiety free.  I still get those feelings every now and then, but I have learned through exercises, diet, …
