The last few years I have met some amazing women over 40, 50 and 60  who are truly pursuing their passions. I have learned that in many ways life really starts over 40.  These wonderful women have influenced me to reach for the stars and pursue my after 50 dreams.  I believe that it is important for women to have a dream to reach for that is outside their everyday role of wife, mother, daughter,sister, employee and so on.

We all have something that we want to do something that we are passionate about, something that we truly believe is our "calling".  But in order to do this, we need to move past our limiting beliefs and begin to believe that we can be successful in pursuing our dreams.

Most of the women I know are functioning under some kind of stress.  Just the other day I spoke with someone who said they love the "stress" feeling because it helped to motivate them to complete their "to-do's" list quickly.  While this method of letting stress motivate you may be a practice for some people it is definitely not the healthiest motivation to get things done.

Have A Love Affair With Your Heart, Eating Heart Healthy After 40!

During this time of the year everyone is thinking about the affairs of the heart.   Everyone talks about and gives advice on how to fall in love, how to stay in love, how to find love, how to get rid of love etc... the list is endless.  I decided that I would write about another affair of the heart.  I want to talk about the affair of the "healthy heart".  After all if you aren't having a "love affair" with your heart, you may not healthy enough to enjoy a "love affair" of  the heart. 
Eating heart healthy is really not that hard.  Eating heart healthy does mean not always indulging in some of our guilty pleasures that you KNOW are not good for you.  Indulging in a constant stream of high fat, high salt, high carb, is not showing your heart love.   Eating foods that are low in fat, low in salt, not fried and prepared in a healthy way is a great way to show your heart love.  It is especially important to eat heart healthy after 40.
