We covered some great topics and I wanted to share a quick summary of what we discussed:
 when getting back in shape keep it simple - just start moving.  Perhaps starting with walking  or going out dancing with friends, find a movement that you enjoydo your movements outdoors, enjoy  be consistent with your movement  and/or exercise program whether it is once a week ,once a day, whatever schedule you set - STICK TO IT.  You will get the results you want when you are consistent with you movement/exercise program.if you are looking for a leaner, toned look start with a strength based weight bearing  exercise, consult with a personal trainer or fitness expert to out together a program that will work to help you achieve  your goals and resultsmost women aren't comfortable going to the gym and prefer…

Jump Starting Your Morning

This morning I had some problems getting out of bed.  Not sure why – I just guess I got overwhelmed thinking about all the goals and objectives I have yet to accomplish for my organization PriaseWorks,Inc.   Do ever get that feeling?  That you have so much to do and everything is an A1 priority?  That would be me about once a week.  But I have discovered something to help me deal with that overwhelmed feeling.  Thought I would share it with you.
Prayer – every morning like clock work I go into prayer with my prayer line.  There are 12 of us and we pray every morning at 4:50am 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  There are some mornings that I can barely keep my eyes open, or I zone out because perhaps I dozed off, but most mornings I get out of bed go to my prayer room and start my prayers.  We each take turns requesting prayer and then one person prays on behalf of  everyone.   I have to say it gives me something to look forward to each day.   Many times it has jump started…

I read an article about Kathleen Hall, a noted expert on stress management. The list below is based upon her teachings and is something that I will be adopting to manage the stress in my life. Ms. Hall talks about a simple mantra that she lives by to help minimize her stress. The mantra is so simple yet so powerful SELF, an acronym for serenity, exercise, love, and food . Ms. Hall refers to this acronym as the” four roots of real happiness”. “It’s these basic, ordinary actions that ground you,” she explains. “By attending to your roots each day, you learn to stay focused and intentional — and stay true to your design.”

It is important for us to keep our lives balanced. Make time for family and friends. Make appointments with them if you have to. Make sure you get that quality time in with those you love and care about. Take time to exercise, create peace in your life for meditation and prayer, and eat nutritious food. Living your life in this way will bring benefits to the mind, body…

How to Snack in a Healthy Way

We all love to snack!  That is not a necessarily a bad thing ...it just depends on what the snack is.  Let's face it , while a pack f M&M's , potato chips, and soda might meet our needs for a "good feeling" snack, these kinds of snack  are not really "good" for you!  The trick is to snack in a way that is healthy, taste good, and helps fill you up until your next full meal.  Try these tips to help you snack in a healthy way all day!
