Favorite Smoothie For Great Skin
You know I love smoothies! I have lately been on a quest for smoothies that will help with my skin and hair. I have been experiencing some dryness and this smoothie along with lots of water seems to have done the trick. I drink it in the afternoon as a filling snack and energizer!
½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 orange, peeled and pits removed
1 ripe banana
½ cup fat-free plain yogurt
½ cup extra firm Silken tofu
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1 tablespoon ground flax seed
1 teaspoon agave nectar (optional for less sugar)
sprig of mint (for that extra kick!)
* Note This smoothie is really full of great nutrients. Ti contains chia seeds, as well as yogurt and tofu, which provide calcium, iron and protein to protect and maintain cell membranes, reduce inflammation and possibly protect against sun damage and it is is good source of Omega 3 for your heart health and brain health.
