5 Skin Care Steps To Help You Age Gracefully

Let’s face it, nobody wants to do a skincare routine that takes 20 different products and is filled with harsh chemicals and ingredients that could potentially harm your skin.

Our lives are so busy that it is understandable if you can’t take an hour to do a skincare routine.  These tips are for a woman who is on the go and wants to have a solid routine that can be done in about 15 minutes! We all want firm and supple skin without fine lines, hydration, and less pigmentation. Our skin has been through a lot, but it’s never too late to start having a skincare routine. Check the labels of your products to make sure that you aren’t being fooled by companies with misleading labels.

Remember, everyone’s skin is different, so if you want to skip a step or add an additional one, that would tailor your experience to your skin. Do your research, your skin will thank you for the investment.

  1. Cleanse Your Skin First

    1. Any face wash that contains vitamin A, B2, B12, and vitamin E will help to clean and nourish the skin. We want to start off with a clean slate every day, especially if we are applying makeup afterward.

  2. Exfoliate

    1. We want to get rid of dead skin cells and scrub them away, but we don’t want to do this every day. Exfoliating once or two times a week is best if you don’t want to cause irritation to the skin.

    2. A natural sugar face scrub with brown sugar, honey, and oil is a cheap and effective way to get rid of those pesky dead skin cells. (½ cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp any oil).

  3. Toner

    1. Toner is the biggest help for tightening pores back up, getting rid of acne of other impurities and helping the skin to balance your pH levels. Some great natural toners include grape seed or peach extracts. Grape seed extract also improves blood flow, improves collagen levels, bone strength, enhances wound healing, and supports your brain as it ages. 1. Eye Cream

    1. We have to be very careful with the skin around our eyes because it is one of the most fragile parts of the face. Using your ring finger and tapping the product on lightly is much more gentle on the skin than aggressively rubbing.

  1. Moisturizer

    1. Jojoba oil is a great moisturizing oil that rejuvenates the skin and protects it from dirt and oil seeping into the skin.

  1. SPF

    1. Don't forget to include your desired SPFprodcut to protect your skin from the sun. We may think the sun is harmless on a regular day, but we want to protect our skin from the UV radiation that is hurting our skin.
